EnZo Full Tang Knife Blades

Our Fulltang line is especially designed for hunters and outdoorsmen. Precision made blades in every detail. We put a lot of attention
to the grind and can provide four different grinds:
Convex (Cv)
Flat (F)
Scandi with a small secondary bevel (Sc)
Scandi ground to zero (ScZ).

The steels used are:

AUS-8
Japanese stainless steel. C 0.70-0.75 Cr 13.00-14.50 Mo 0.10-0.30 V 0.10-0.26 Ni 0.49 Mn 0.50 Si 1.0

Carbon
O1 is a widely used American knifesteel.
C 0.90 Mn1.20 Cr 0.50 W 0.50 V 0.20

D2
D2 steel is one of the best knife steels. It is a tool steel and has very good hardness and wear resistance, while still maintaining some
rust resistance due to high Chromium content.
C 1.55%, Mn 0.3%, Si 0.3%, Cr 12%, Mo 1% Hrc 60- 61

CPM S30V
C 1.45 Cr 14.00 Mo 2.00 V 4.00W 0.10-0.40 Mn 0.50 Si 0.50 N 0.10 Crucible

CPM S30V is a martensitic stainless steel designed to offer the best combination of toughness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
The process of producing CPM (Crucible Particle Metallurgy) steels involves gas atomization of pre-alloyed molten steel to form powder.
This powder is then screened and then isostatically compressed into 100% dense compacts.

One of my customers has the following tips for EnZo blades in D2:
- if making other than slicing cuts in soft materials (not including bone or wood with knots), make sure the blade has a microbevel at the
edge, to avoid chipping. This way, even chopping will cause no problems.
- use aluminum oxide stones/waterstones for sharpening if you want quick results.
- this steel is not stainless, so it needs to be wiped dry if it gets wet. However, D2 will not oxidize as quickly as simple carbon steel, so your
blade will remain bright with minimum care.
